The first release from Beat Garden was the debut album BREAK BREAD & NAILS (February 2006) from Crooked Soul, consisting of Starkey (Seclusiasis/Werk Discs), Johnny Darko, Arkive (Ropeadope Digital/Seclusiasis) and Zilla Rocca (Clean Guns/Beat Garden). The album was a mixture of Bjork's POST, Outkast's STANKONIA and the Beastie Boys' HELLO NASTY.
Next was the debut album SOMETIMES THERE IS TROUBLE by Clean Guns on August 25th, 2006. The album spawned the hit college radio singles "Beauitful You" and "Hold Your Glass High" and the mammoth live show banger "Say Goodnight" featuring So-S@y. The album received outstanding reviews online and separated Knowledge Don and Zilla Rocca from their counterparts, both visually (due to the controversial album cover) and musically.
In the meantime, new artists joined the fold: Alex Wood (producer extraordinare), Professor Anarchy (gypsy rap monster), ASK? (visual villain and MC/producer), the Rowdee Black Giants/Triple Nickels (live band grown man hip hop) and Angela Rastelli (vocal queen).
Beat Garden then joined forces with the good folks at Yadibox.com, a Philly-based entertainment website that received over 4 million visitors. This led to the upcoming release BEAT GARDEN PRESENTS: THE YADIBOX MIXTAPE, which will be available for free download and features the entire Beat Garden roster with guest apperances from 2ew Gunn Ciz, Bless, One Time and Emmy Award Winner Tourguide Chuck.
Whether it's street based bangers, thoughtful hip hop sh*t, hilarious video clips or outstanding live performances Beat Garden got your back from here on out!
